This tournament is for a great cause and there are 7 ways to win money at our tournament, plus three ways to win Avet reels. This tournament is one of the very few that allows overnight fishing and BIG Mako sharks love to eat at night. At the conclusion of the Captain's Meeting on June 12th, 2015, the teams can head out and start fishing. Boats can leave from any inlet but have to be back into the Manasquan Inlet by 6pm if they wish to weigh in a shark. The tournament weigh station is at Crystal Point Yacht Club on the Manasquan River by the Route 70 Bridge. Scales will be open at 12 noon on June 13th, 2015. A $3000 prize will be awarded to the boat weighing in the first qualifying Mako. Each boat weighing in a qualifying shark will be entered into a drawing for $500. The drawing as well as the award of all the prize money will be done at the After Party Fund Raiser Dinner on June 13th beginning at 7pm at River Rock Restaurant and Marina Bar.
This fund raiser dinner will provide people the opportunity to meet the Navy SEALs and Operation Restored Warrior leaders and will include a fantastic Chinese Auction and a Live Auction for special commemorative items along with a range of really amazing goods/services donated by local businesses and tournament sponsors. A limited number of ticket will be available for the after party fund raising dinner for $50 per person. Food and discounted drinks will be available and winning teams will get in free of charge. Please use the email link above to contact us if you would like tickets to the fund raiser after party dinner.
Captain Paul Hebert from National Geographic Channel's "Wicked Tuna" television show will make a special personal appearance at our After Party Fund Raiser Dinner to help raise money for Operation Restored Warrior. Bring your family and friends to meet Paul, take pictures and get an autographed tournament t-shirt. Paul is a fan favorite on the show and is one true patriot for coming out to help raise money to save the lives of good men who need our help.
